Welcome to the  Para_chutes Page, Para_chutes has always been an artist, drawing and painting at age 3, and he took 5 yrs of private art school from Nillie Solberge of Bismarck, para_chutes has had a one man art show and won ribbons from the Bismarck Art Association, para_chutes has always loved to create. His father was some what big into computers in the 70s and 80s. Para_chutes bought his first computer in 1986, an Atari 2600. Programs had to be typed in and then RUN, nothing could be stored or saved if the computer was turned off. The programing was alot like UNIX programing today. He bought his second 2 computer's (used AT&T 8086's) in the spring of 1992, running Windows 4.5, The 8086 were clone's of IBM's first home computer the IBM 8080, and the 8086 compared to the IBM's 2nd version of the 86 or better knowen as the 286 (these things still work, but low density softwear is impossible to find :) anyways. later came the 386 and then the 486 and then the birth of the Pentium :) Para_chutes went on-line on the internet back in the spring 1997 right after his father died. He enjoyed how web sites were made, started playing around with HTML and created his first web page in the fall of 1997. By 1998 he had created over 12 web pages, several were more of a testing area for his HTML and Java Script codes and mix matching code to make new code, he noticed how different browsers (Netscape, E-internet Explorer, AOL, Linux) displayed the web page differently from one another and how some HTML code worked with some browsers and not with others, and how some used a different color set up than otheres (hex-decimal, RGB, & netscape colors), He tryed making html code that worked with all browsers that would display the code the same way so that the page would be seen the same way with all browsers, and one of his more popular web pages got listed with 4 major search engines, back in 1997 getting listed with a search engine required to get voted in, today it requireds money and a good search will cost from $200 to $2000 per month. In 1999 He took over manageing several news group column posts, One of had only 50 members (no one else wanted to do it) but in a half yrs time he promoted it from 50 members to 380 very active members with each member posting 20 posts a day, at the time it had become one of the most popluar news posts in that web group, getting many thousands of hits a day from non memebers, the news post was monitored and owned by Microsoft, but he gave up the post in 2000 because it took so much of his time (several hours a day). In the spring of 2000 he got his first pentium computer, it was a nice change stepping up from Windows 95 to Windows 98, but also in 2000 para_chute closed alot of his web sites do to the high cost of web hosting (costs were much higher back then) you could still get free web hosting from geocites or angelfire or lycos or yahoo, but the sites were full of advertising banners and limited to content and html, no java script could be used. Today para_chutes has made many web pages for others, for both personal and for Business and set up his oun server. In July 2001 he started Beta testing software for Microsoft (testing Hotmail, messenger, Microsoft Office, Windows Live) and he got his second pentium-4 computer with Windows ME (with a free upgrade to the December 2001 release of Windows XP) He also set up his oun 3comm Ethernet Gateway Network that would support all his computers (24-7) along with printer server and firewall hardware (and at that time, the cheapest firewall hardware was $350). But now He could be many different people in the same chat room all at the same time (multi computers) and seemingly everywhere, this also made managing and monitoring news groups much easyer, and some people in the news groups called him a ghost (do to the fact that he knew what everyone was saying behind everyone elses back:) In January 2002 he built a computer of his oun and rebuilt 3 older computers that were given to him and he updated them all to run XP, and also bought 3.0 Alien Area-51 XP Pro computers custom built to his specification's (A3 Level clearance with an ASUS mother board with Fire wire Hard Drives) And set up Pinnacle Live Production Digital Editing Suite, and Multi screen LCD monitors, RDRAM rambus memory, DVD rom , DVD ram, He now would make Custom GIF's, Flash Media (Dream Weaver), and Power piont that could be FTP uploaded for web site, e-mailed, or burned to DVD, and at the time (in 2002) he was the only one of his computer friends to burn DVD with mulit screen monitors. Also in the fall of 2002 he took over working on the Shiloh Christain School web site under the direction of Dave Anderson, and created there photo gallary, many GIFs and main page editing. In July of 2004 he set up a VoIP internet phone system that is still running today :) In 2005 He upgraded his network to a 256 MB encryption ProSafe VPN Firewall with 8 private VPN's tunnels, and 2005 he got an HP wireless laptop (8000 series, 11 lbs) that has the power of a desk top computer, and added a wireless network, he also inherited 30 computer's from a local school that he cleaned up and sold on Bis/Man online for $10 each, a few he updated and kept, Also in 2005 he won 3 different Beta Testing Awards from Microsoft, and also Won a Digital Media Suite of his Choice from ROXIO.com And a very nice full page story was published about para_chutes from Mandan North Dakota on the ROXIO Website in the Fall of 2005, this was a great honor for para_chutes since Roxio.com sells software world wide, and this gave him world wide attention. On June first of 2006 para_chutes started beta testing Windows Vista for Microsoft, and holds 10 Licences for Vista home, Pro, Media Center and Vista Ultimate.  Parachutes is currently busy working on a future static server that he hopes to have up and running by the end of 2008 that will sell hosting in 5 different content groups.
