(Best Viewed with 1024x768 Resolution) I don't know what brought you here, or why you came - but, WELCOME none the less. I hope that you enjoy your stay. Perhaps you followed a link from one of the sites that are kind enough to post some of my midi files. Or, perhaps a search engine got you here. Whatever the case, what you will find here is information, as interesting as I can muster up, about myself, music, midi sequencing and J. S. Bach. I happen to have a great love and appreciation for master Bach's music, most especially his organ music. And, I spend a good share of my computer time sequencing his organworks. You will find links on the left to a page containing sample mp3 files of some of my midi sequences as reproduced with my computer midi and sound equipment. I won't spend a lot of time on personal things on this page - there is a link to a Bio Page if you're interested in me or my midi, sound, or computer equipment. However, there are a couple of people I'd like to mention to you so that the remainder of the web site make some sense. The first is Prof. Dr. Hans Georg Uszkoreit, who resides with his lovely wife Barbel in Schwerte, Germany. I had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Uszkoreit on the internet several years ago. Since, we have had a very fruitful correspondence and I am honored to be able to call Hans a personal friend. Hans holds a Doctorate of Music and was the President (retired) of a renowned music conservatory in Dresden, Germany. He has a great knowledge of music and he shares my interest of master Johann Sebastian Bach. In the Spring of 1998, DeLayne (my better half) and I were fortunate to be able to visit Hans and Barbel at their home in Germany. From their home, they gave us a most unbelievable tour of "Bach Country" in northeastern Germany. We visited from Arnstadt to Leipzig, with many other interesting places along the way. Follow the link on the left to the Photo and Organ page to see and hear some of the wonderful and historic organs we had an opportunity to play. Another gentleman I must mention is a friend of Hans from Berlin, Mr. Reimar Bluth. Reimar joined our journey in Arnstadt, and he accompanied us for the remainder of our trip. Reimar is simply a wonderful fellow, not to mention a very accomplished organist. Between Hans and Reimar, they were able to arrange for us to see and play some important historic organs that I know would have been untouchable had it not been for Hans' and Reimar's knowledge of the local churches and organists. For this great opportunity, I will be forever grateful to both of them. Just to whet your appetite a little, I will mention that among the organs we played were the Gottfried Silbermann organ in Ponitz and the Heinrich Trost organ in the Castle Church of Altenburg. The Trost organ was played by none other than Sebastian Bach himself shortly after the organ was completed in 1739. We viewed and played many other historic organs; far too many to mention here.
